Hand-Scraped Surface and Edges: Create the illusion that your new wide plank floor has been there for decades or even centuries by scraping the surface and/or edges to create a comfortably worn look. This flooring design technique is especially popular for restoration projects.
Antique Cut Nails:
Today's wide plank floors do not require nails in the face of the floorboard to provide stability; however, for those who want to create a vintage look, these nails are a flooring option that offers the perfect finishing touch.
Tung Oil:
Unlike polyurethanes that provide a plastic-like coating, Waterlox Tung Oil permeates the fibers and becomes part of the wood to form a protective finish that won't chip, peel, crack or wrinkle. Waterlox creates a waterproof barrier so it resists moisture, dirt, household chemicals, alcoholic beverages, heat and cold. Best of all, this flooring option never requires sanding for adhesion purposes, so touchups can be done at any time without the expense and inconvenience of sanding down to the bare wood.
Bona® DriFast® Stain
An oil-modified stain that dries and is recoatable in two hours. Stain's advanced technology, quick-drying formula provides speed and high performance for hardwood floor finishing professionals. Compatible with all Bona waterborne systems and all other Bona finish systems. Bona finishes have a 2 hour dry time with no bleed back, they penetrate, stain and seal bare wood. 800 - 1,000 sf/gal coverage rate. All stain colors can be blended, offering an endless color palette. Cleans up with mineral spirits. Low odor, and easy touch ups.
Antique Hand-Hewn Beams:
Available in antique or newly sawn species, our beams are perfect for post and beam structures and fireplace mantels. They come in long lengths and hearty widths in a variety of species.
